Welcome to our 2026 Salone del Mobile Trend Report, where we explore the standout trends, materials, products, and ideas that shaped this year’s exhibition.
This year’s theme, A Matter of Salone, centered on material substance as the true foundation of design, emphasizing authenticity, longevity, and tactile experience over aesthetics alone. Throughout Milan, we saw a strong return to raw, honest materials, from stainless steel, leather, glass, and wood to richly textured surfaces that celebrated craftsmanship and permanence. Curved forms continued to evolve, often juxtaposed against industrial finishes, while earthy color palettes, oversized silhouettes, and layered materiality reinforced a broader shift toward spaces that feel grounded, sensory, and deeply human.
