Rooted in routine, comfort, and personal expression, this 1,814-square-foot townhouse located in Pittsboro NC was shaped around the lifestyle of a mature, active single homeowner who values simplicity, location, and a home that feels distinctly his own. Positioned near the YMCA, the home supports an easy daily rhythm, with spaces designed to feel purposeful, comfortable, and quietly refined.
The interior palette remains grounded in warm neutrals, layered with hints of orange, rusted red, and soft gold to introduce depth and character. Clean-lined furnishings and warm wood tones keep the home feeling modern yet approachable. Furnishings, rugs, and art were sourced from manufacturers including Legacy Classic Furniture, Martin Furniture, Jonathan Louis, Uttermost, Four Hands, Crestview Collection, Magnussen Home Furnishings, Loloi, and Leftbank Art.
Material detailing plays a central role in defining the home’s character. A marble fireplace anchors the living room as a natural focal point, while shiplap along the staircase introduces texture and subtle architectural movement between levels. Local Raleigh artist pieces were incorporated at the builder’s request, creating a meaningful connection to the surrounding community. Rather than serving as decorative add-ons, the artwork was intentionally placed to reinforce a lived-in, personal atmosphere.
