To support their major initiative for creating patient-focused spaces, Empire & Co. collaborated with Piedmont Healthcare to consolidate administrative offices & employee necessities into a new 160,000-square-foot System Support Center spanning eight floors.
This new workplace hub extends from Piedmont’s commitment to its people and cultivating a strong sense of community, designed to support those who care for others.
Project Overview

Upon award, Empire’s dedicated account lead strategized closely with the architectural firm Cooper Carry to fully spec Piedmont’s design intent, utilizing credible brands. From Steelcase workstations and offices to a standout 32-foot Halcon conference table, flexible seating arrangements, tech-savvy collab spaces, and hospitality-inspired amenities, this multi-floor administrative center offers choice and comfort to support busy workdays.

Reputable manufacturers that met crucial lead times included AMQ, Bolia, Kimball, West Elm, and OFS, along with complementary solutions from SitOnIt Seating, HBF, and Viccarbe.

Our team also enhanced the workplace with biophilic elements and curated faux plant installations & furnishings to complement open-plan architectural features, and picturesque city views.

on-site coordination between account management, design, and leadership to streamline procurement and support project execution, delivery & installation.
